Kudos to Jared Polis for bringing Federal grants to Colorado, to Joe Castro for taking on the heavy lifting of grant management, but… surely we could do better.

Sand Creek

May 15, 2010

A little off the Boulder trail, but also about the urban interior – Sand Creek Bike Path in Denver runs along Rte 270 between I 25 and the old Stapleton Airport, with beautiful views of the refineries.

Below, the airplane graveyard at old Stapleton Airport.

The bird song at this spot was deafening, except for the traffic noise from I-270 behind me.

The refineries are still here, even if Commcrce City’s new logo is a tree.
